Very surprising for Connecticut, and I was thinking of fishing there because of the saltwater license reciprocity figured I'd get the bigger fish earlier. I hope that isn't a prelude to what is in store for Massachusetts.

I thought it was looking good two weeks ago, but I am nervous now. My fishing is limited to a narrow area this time of year so it is not necessarily representative of other places. I do know that within the group of a dozen or so guys who fish where I do and I talk with occasionally, the results have been similar. Too early to tell, but it looks more like fall in CT which has been not so great last few years.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

First Keeper Blitz action of the season. Insane action actually My thumb is ripped up, my shoulder hurts, and my feet are sore. But I can't stop smiling. Bad picture, but we didnt wanna stop catching 35-38" screamers! BTW as soon as I have money, I'm buying stock in Sebile Lure Co. On the 8ft tica and cabopt40, these fish were a blast!!
