Looks like Rick Hern has the lead w/38# and a little over one week to go. Lots of nice fish being caught in the last 5 days.

BB: Don't release fish count double? Or at least 1.5 multiplier?

Bonds, SK.

Alan,

This is a great point. Although there's only a week left, we'll create a Sauerkraut division for the largest released fish...in fact we'll name it the "Bonds" award.

I don't belive it either. I want to see him actually hooking/fighting/landing/releasing a surf caught fish in a series of pictures before we even consider him worthy. Plus, we need at least three witnesses.

Something certainly seems to be amiss. I decline the invite to fish with you on Friday morning and you slay them (on lures from shore, no less). Then, I go Saturday and don't even get a bump. I think it's the RIJIMMY curse.

Seriously, those are some nice fish. Congrats.

Here's a terrible pic of a nice fish I released last week. Didn't get an accurate measurement because I was in a rush to get it back in the water, but it was quite a bit bigger than a 42" fish I measured earlier in the evening.

True story. My 1oz bigfish pencil has been killer this spring. Friday was the day of the stick shad for me tho. I dont think it really mattered what you were throwing that morning to be honest. I coulda jumped in the water with a knife and caught something, most interesting man in the world style

O and I forget who originally posted it, but check out the fish calendar accuracy... it shut off after the 20th

Since when is a man-made trough full of sea water, mackerel and stupid fish categorized as "surf"?

No waves means no "surf"!! ;-)

What a great 3 days, glad I didn't miss it this year! I didn't start fishing until after 10 am each morning.

Yes I did. It was probably just a 15# hooked in the tail. At least that story allows me to sleep at night.

Moon and star alignment mixed w/ some toad stool and bat wings. CT is a little behind the times. Slowdown started here on the 22nd, so maybe the pattern is correct, but the exact days are off.
