Ground launch from very specific locations and flight profiles so as NOT to be confused with a ballistic nuke and not from space to prevent significant (additional) weaponization of space. You just don't know what it will look like on the other guys screen. (Though the moon base comment has me thinking there is some T.I.C. going on)

Moon bases might be a way off...

But the advantages of space based weapons over flight launched are significant once the packages get smaller. We don't need the Fifth Fleet on the same mission if we can target Africa to Asia from the same platform.

Agree weaponization of space is a slippery slope, but it's got to be coming regardless. Not that that's necessarily a good thing.
