I'd say Avet; they're light, price is OK & made in the USA so servicing is easy. Narrow spool models for jigging.
I have an Everol on an Okuma xheavy rod. The reel is a tank...simple reel...made with the philosophy that big parts don't break; the rod is cheap.. parabolic action... I paid $60 (Amazon on sale) and while not a high tech blank it has Alps reel seat and guides that cost more than I paid for the rod. Drop in over at 360 Tuna; lots of jiggers over there and a good place to pick up a used reel from guys who change their reels more frequently than I change my underwear. PS The Okuma heavy is a great bass rod!

As far as the reel, look at some Accurates. Personally, I'd think about the 665 in wide, so you can use it at home for bft as well...
