Good to see Chuck. His spirits are good, he has a tough road ahead but looks to be on the mend. Great turnout and job by everyone and especially the spread at Flo's

It was a nice event. Warmed my heart to see many come out to support one of our own. Over $8000 raised to help our buddy.

Big Ed took lots of loot, rod & reel, bag of plugs, just needed a spool of line and he could have walked across the street and caught bass.

Great seeing everyone.

You haven't seen the bag I bought! Not on the board. This was at the event.

I didn't buy quality????

Guess I will have to settle for those rare one-of-a-kinds? Never planned to fish them.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

It was a very entertaining bidding war over a couple Roberts Rangers. Maybe everything should have been auction style instead of a rafflle...

Glad to see the big turn out, it resulted in a very effective and fun fundraising evening.

An enormous thank you to everyone who was there Monday night - and all who have donated and bid on the pluggage here. It's been humbling - imagine, me humbled.

It was great to see old S-B friends I haven't seen in a long time - wish I had more time to talk with everyone, the turnout was big and that was the 1st time I'd been out at night in the 6 months since this whole escapade began.

All things considered, I'm doing okay - still have a ways to go, will go back to chemo in a week but the good news is it's working. One step at a time, I guess - and at least we've got things moving in the right direction.

Again, many, many thanks to you all - you guys are the best!

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
