Heck man, it's still Oct. Even on the worst of season's I was still getting decent bass into Nov, . close to Dec. I know it's over when I see those little heads bobbing in the water.

I have had the BEST big fish fall this year in more than 25 years of fishing. Both numbers and SIZES!!! have been spectacular!
However...After a great Sunday 10/22 , have drawn 2 consecutive skunks for the first time this year fishing my usual locations when I thought it would be the best timing.
If the weather holds out, there's plenty of quality fish that have yet to pass your way IMO.

I don't really know how the bass have been... I have to unhook ten monster toothed fork-tails for everybass, but in the last two weeks the bass are at least a decent size down this way.

there are still big fish around thru november,my biggest surf caught bass came from ma. waters in the middle of november. fishing live eels. the hits a few but i always found that they were 25 # and up in the ma. surf in november. so don't give up too early, just make sure you dress for the weather as it may be great weather during the day but once the sun goes down it feels like the middle of winter.
