Arrow last year

i had two of those suet feeder green squares disapear from my bird feeding area
and never saw them again.... now i know where they went.... because only
an animal as clever as a fisher cat could have
unhooked them from the rope.

Bigfish for an animal their size they
have unusual strength and are known to pounce
on animals from the trees and kill them.

My dog brought home a dead one a couple months ago, probably road kill on Rt 1. I chucked it in the prickers over the fence, I should go get a picture of the skull. Sucker had some nasty fangs

Very cool animal. There are a lot of them in the central MA area and their range continues to expand. I believe they are mostly nocturnal. but I have seen them around my house a few times in the day. Here is some info from the MassWildlife: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dfw/dfw_fisher.htm

I have a couple around my place. I am amazed at how fast they are, and to that end they can run faster than me so I stay away. Been told they are nasty little buggers. I think thats where all the chipmunks have gone. Bring back trapping.
