Mr. M- Make sure you get that snow off the tarp, especially before it turns to rain! The weight is far more damaging than the snow.

can you see the light?

Unplowed roads down along south beach with nasty wind produced some awesome drifts. Snow was blowing over the hood and roof and stopped the truck at one point. They are going to need some big plows to blow through that stuff. Drifts down there are 3-4' easy Got slightly hung up in the trunk for a little while but managed...Couldn't make it down all the way to the ocean (got within 200 yards or so in Katama..the drifts were just too high. (was trying to get down on the beach to check the surf) The rest of the island is driveable but snowy.

I just got home from work. I shoveled my driveway, which was already shoveled twice by my wife and neighbor upstairs. I'd say there was 6" easy when I just shoveled. I doubt I will be going in tomorrow. They care about no ones safety, the foremen were out chasing guys down to make sure they were working.

Its 5:15 and I'm still at work until 8pm. My workplace cannot close, its a 24 hr dept.(Public Utility) There is 18 inches of snow on the ground and it is dumping right now. Snowblower will be cranking when I get home. Have to be back at work at 8 am also. Neighbors are gonna hear the machine early, too bad. Stay safe everyone, have fun digging out.

South County is still getting snow. Over 12'' of snow with some 3-4' drifts. The wind is really crankin down here.

Bloo, thanks for the wader idea for shoveling! Works great! Sometimes you gotta think out of the box.

Well I just took a look and we have 13" here in Yarmouth. 23" total on the ground. I have two kids that have going out one at a time every hour and shovling !! I have not had to leave the basement all day.
I glued my reel seat today and I cleaned 2 reels. That drive way and path to the emergency houe is as clean as a wistle!! Emergency house in my 27 foot camper. It has 60 pounds of propane for the heat and cooking. Have two Batterys fully charged for power. And cell phones. we could hold up in there for a week with out a problem.

30 Days till spring!!

....I thought it was bad 2 days ago when I showed Goose a spot that had 1,000s of Ostrich eggs washed up on shore...

GOD putith and GOD can takeith away..

I don't shovel (unless I abs. have to...)

Just mow thru it in 4wd. It will melt before you know it. It is not worth wiping out your back for something stupid as shoveling.

VB, with the high tides and weather this winter...there is quite a bit less beach at the moment. I was down there on a high tide about a week ago and the surf running up really high on the beach.
