Bigfish...never mind the words of encouragement...lets go fishing. Cant take you to my favorite spot but will take you to my second. Blind fold needed though.

In all seriousness.......Just relax and they will come. Sometimes when we put so much pressure on ourselves to catch that we forget about:

A) Spending quality time with friends fishing
B) Enjoying the outdoors (even at 3am its still nice)
C) That we have a stock of large stripers (for now anyway) to TRY to catch
D) That we have a choice to wake up and fish, unlike my good fishing partner and best friend who is spending the next year in the mountains of Afghanistan and would love to go out and to the shore and not catch anything, but just to be there.
E) That we have the physical and mental capacity to walk, cast and catch fish.

When I start to think my mo-jo is gone I just think of the things that we take for granted, enjoy them and take what comes to me. Think this way and before you know it the other end of you fishing line will yield what your looking for. I promise.

Thanks SH3 but I already live my life that way! I am a "smell the roses" kind of guy and need no reminding of how fortunate I am.......but is it too much to ask to catch a decent fish once in awhile?!?!?!?!/

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Glad you live you life this way. I often encounter folks who do not and often forget how lucky we are. Didnt have you pegged as one of them just trying to give you motivation...its works for me everytime!

Larry, did you try this? honestly it works. Even just typing works. I bet you didn't try it and that's why you still haven't found the mojo.

Lost mojo? Simple fix. Use the search function....

stop your friggin whinning and go fishing, more time put in equals better chance at catching. Big cry baby

I think if you check back a few years in one of your million posts you will find that same " I got no luck" thread you posted. Everyone has dry spells , just makes me what to go more . I have not caught a decent fish in a couple weeks so your not alone.

I understand completely, maybe you suck at fishing?

Just keep at it Ugly Betty and eventually the odds will catch up with you. Dry spells are part of the game. If you are very desperate than maybe you should try a technique that you don't do often or ever. Mix it up. Go fishing with Matt and Joe. Fish some places you know real well. Give the canal a rest. Try some eels or plastic or rubber just to get the stink off then go back to the wood. Wood will not give you the best percentage of catching as I am sure you know so you have to take the difficulty in stride. Don't sweat it just enjoy the skunking's. Beats the hell out of not fishing. It is getting toward the end of the season and maybe you are burnt out. I know I am. Don't have the drive I had a few months ago. Comm. season wore me out and to be honest I will be glad when I hang it up this year, but I still want to fish, just at a more leisurely pace. Your luck is going to change. I can feel it.

after a brief discussion with the portaguese men of war, if has come to our attention the you are down a quart of chourico and peppers. perhaps a few potatoes and onion would help with forementioned groceries.
and if you put on a lb. or two, who cares?
a mean if your going to lose your mojo, have a full stomach to brood on.

put them back alive. i do have grandkids.

Larry...walk to the magical spot, one you have recently written about...you will see the normal sized shadow...you will create the large sized one...throw a prey before the bar, into the bowl, and use a trout colored prey(think slipknot) and go slow...
when the mojo is restored, you can give me the plug, and we will call it a night...remember, do not leave too soon!!

a fifty before I go!!!!!!
