Not a Spot or Report Thread - but how have your areas been doing?
Not a Spot or Report Thread - but how have your June areas been doing when compared to last year or the past few years?
Now being in the second week of July I'm wondering if a slow (for most) June is readying people for a rough July. What do you think?
I'm unqualified to answer as I missed most of June

A terrible June seems to be giving way to an at least decent July. We'll see what the rest of the month brings.

not so good of a month fishin from the shore on the vineyard, but the boating around the vineyard hasnt been bad with several bass in the 20 pound range taken. either way, i still give more time from the shore than from the boat.

Me too, but got out sat nite in my usual neighborhood and it was slow. That being said, there are always fish to be caught. Will make some adjustments and get dialed in before too long I'm sure.

I did OK considering the fact that I haven't put in a ton of time. Lot of small fish this year.

I did not catch a single a Bass in the Boston harbor from the shore (various locations) in June. However, went out early 7/4, landed 3 Keepers on squid in 1 hours time (Grilled 1). Have not been out since, lots of work related stuff and my girlfriend complains I spend to many friday and saturday nights fishing.

Jim, can I come and fish with you this weekend?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

June was awfull July just started so it is hard to say one nice fish the other night so I'am HOPING things will get better in July it ussally does. The fish aren't moving much so if you find a nice school they should be around for the summer.Like Jim said fish deep with eels.

June was great. July so far has been tough. All the bait a bass could eat. Fishing 40' depths and the skinny, and resorted to fishing a lighted dock for Micro's to remember what it's like to get a little tug. Like others said, hopefully the new moon period this weekend will set things straight. Strange brown film on the water the last couple of weeks, poagies don't seem to mind.

Blowing up a spot can be helpful when seals are around. Seal decoys I call em. Wait for someone to get sealed, then cast. Most of the times the other seals that are around will follow the seal that got a hooked fish for scraps giving one a short window of nonsealatunity. I think I saw them sharing last week. A bow could knock a lot of those buggers out quietly.
