200sq ft and you need a Permit. Also lots of places where you can't use it...
As far as recommending one Memphis.
I have/had a seine that i used for years to gather silversides... also had a cast net made by them that i used to throw off the pier for tinker mackerel...

gill nets
Go to R&R marine in Hingham, they don't stock them but they can get it for you. I have a 50 ft. by 8 ft. with a 2 in. mesh that works great.

There is none Christian, in MA. there has been a moratorium for some time, unless you already hold one from years back. In the other new england states I'm unaware of their regulations.
Regards, Monty.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Not crazy about gill nets. They only work in the darkness, they tare easy, because pogies are feeble gill nets kill most of your catch. Like anything else there is technique to using it effectively. I found it useful for small concentrated schools when bait is scarce. If your not familiar with gill nets you will find yourself aggravated for just a few pogies.
