Small groove in line roller? normal????

I have a ZeeBaaS ZX22RD and I am noticing a small groove developing in both line rollers (dual pickup reel). They seem to be rolling fine but I don't recall there being a little groove in there I thought it was perfecting smooth.

Jim,
I have no experience with Zee bass but that doesn't sound good or normal. Are you fishing braid?

groove in line roller

Dennis I bet he is using braid, I can't believe the line roller isn't titainium. VS cured that problem in about 2003 when they switched to titainium rollers I do belive. For that kind of $ I cannot believe he has an issue.

i had a slight groove wear in a vs roller. they replaced it free during annual maintenance. i would expect that zb would send you a new roller if you call them.

You think that maybe by Zee Baas Version 5 he'll have all the bugs out?

Assuming we haven't hit Version 5 already.

Yeah I am using PP braid. I had the reel serviced by them this past winter. It seems fine but you can feel/see the indent. I don't think it is suppose to be there as one side has one in the middle of the roller, the other side has two that are not centered or symmetrical. I first thought it was just a mark from the braid but you can feel it with your nail if you stick your finger in there and scrape it across the roller. I sent an email to them.
