Not a very bright captain or crew to follow his dumbass for that matter. Should have had a mutiny!

If I were the Coast Guard, I'd be pretty pissed off about the whole thing. Great job once again by the USCG saving at least 14 of them.

They left CT and were headed south to try to beat the storm to a safer port. Didn't work out I guess

Hard to fathom why the Captain did not make port well ahead of the storm...
He should be made to walk the plank or be keel-hauled multiple times
in shark infested waters!

My wife and I were on it for a wine and cheese fund raiser last summer and it was an amazing ship. They (the crew) had all of us work with them to haul the sails and secure the rigging. Very cool trip, but never realized how much work and how physical it was. Nice sunset cruise from Fall River south towards Newport and back.

wasn't that boat just built for the movies?....I think it is a replica of sorts...
The capt is probably better off dead. If he was alive they would hang him. Incredibly bad decision.

Met some of the crew this summer while the boat was in Newport. Good people.
Never met the capt, but looks like he goes down with his vessel.
