Whats wrong with you?

Its June 10th. Other than a few early season schoolies I havent seen ANY striper pictures for 2013! Some of us are thousands of miles away and would enjoy seeing some nice bass pics. Does anyone here fish anymore?

Where do I begin with what's wrong with me.

#1 I am done posting fish pics unless it is a PB or worthy of me taking a pic.

#2 aside from a couple of decent fish I really haven't caught any pic worthy fish this year.

#3 been too damn busy to really fish a lot as of yet.

#4 I honestly don't think we have seen the big push here yet.

#5 I am not a real fisherman. I only use artificials aside from the occasional live eel outing

I have a lot wrong with me anyone that knows me will tell you I am a little soft and nuttier than squirrel s&$t

Landed this pig the other night. Had my friends hold it so I could take the picture. Took me 6 hours to reel in, bottomed out the 60# boga

I said I won't post any pictures unless it's a 40 or more. So far 35# is the biggest

It is kind of interesting that we are not seeing nor hearing about a LOT of big fish. I just fished 12 days straight and put in a ton of hours both on the boat and at the Canal. There has been a couple of 50s and a smattering of 40s but nothing like years past. Maybe the big girls are still not here or maybe there are not a lot of big girls left.

I was at the canal late last week and saw 4 or 5 guys in the Sag parking lot coming in with 28" fish. Why in the name of God are these nitwits killing 28" fish? Because they CAN, that's why.

I have never seen so may guys fishing the Canal. Is it due to the lack of fish on the Back beaches, the easy access, the predictability of the fish movement? Maybe all of the above. Anyway, my nephew and I have caught over 50 fish in the 15 to30# range and killed 2 fish and they were gut hooked.

I think the canal gets so much action because of the predictablity of the movement and then word of mouth. When push of fish comes in, within a day everyone is getting phone calls. Its never a secret of when the canal is going off.

Striper Photo's...

Check out the home page for my striper team;
Home - Aquidneck Island Striper Team
There are a couple of 40's that should get your interest. One boat and one surf.
PM with you email address and I'll send you a couple of yak Stripers a coworker caught three weekends ago while in the midst of a bunker school around 4:00am (32 and 22 pounds).
Caught artificially of course...

that things a slob!

on DZ's facebook comment - do you guys just all friend each other personally or is there a group or page some are using? We have a group for New england kayak fishing and honestly it is making it so people don't post pics on the site itself anymore, I don't really have a problem with that, but it would be cool to see pics from members here as well...

I noticed a while back that John had an S-B page up, but it doesn't seem that active from members here...

Why not show some of your catches as well?
Surely there has to be something to catch down there other than a dust tan?

You'll have to wait for canyon season. I don't carry a camera in the surf...
