Freak and I tossed this idea around on our way to TFCTFN.... Any interest? Anyone have a line on a golf course where to have it? Could be an 18 or nine hole event. We have Kelley Greens here in Salem, also known as Salem Muni, a challenging 9 hole track. I know we have some closet golfers that could put this together more efficiently and economically than I could.... Maybe combine with some surf fishing after, depending on location?????
EVERY golf course should have managed bass ponds intermingled
and the objective is to drive around to each one and cast in
same as T-ing off, with each cast counting as a stroke and
catching a fish equals sinking the putt.
I'm pretty sure I could put something together at foxboro where I work date dependent. But I would be Interested to play and help set this up. Foxboro is convenient from north and south points.
Doldrums are in early this year! Depending on the day, i am sure i can make a spectical of myself. Were did i put that collapsing rod? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
My wife, who is retired, has a part time job as a greens keeper at Crystal Lake Golf Course. I am sure she can talk to Kevin Bliss the owner and put something together. How about we make it a charity golf outing for a good cause like the Wounder Warrior Foundation.
Also Back Beach is the superintendent at a course but it is a private course were as Crystal Lake is semi-private .
I'd play. I only bought clubs for those work charity tourneys but my bag holds a 12 pack with ice and I'm not that bad. Came close to breaking 100 once, cant remember if it was on the front 9 or the back 9...

They helped a good friend of mine, also the soldier ride founder and the promoter are very good friends of my gf and mine.
Shameless plug for the documentary about Solider Ride:
What a bunch of traders... golf is for people who don't fish

I gotta find a real fishing Site ><><
Really??? So a one day event of fishermen getting together, even if it might be the only time in a couple of years that most of us play, would make us "golfers" and traitors???? I don't care. Don't have to justify it. Always good for a lot of laughs when done with friends....Hell, Clammer beotches when fishing, so this shouldn't surprise me...

Have fun.. never ment it as an insult.. just one of my many skewed opinions...the more people that are golfing mean less are fishing... win.. win for me..
I golfed a month ago or so for the first time in years and it was frustrating as all hell! I gotta admit though, when you hit the ball well it's a great feeling
