almost looks like a cunner. Did it have teeth, cause I've run into schools of those things in Gloucester around the rocks and they will strip bait off hooks in seconds!

I have seen a lot of cunners and I never saw one so red...they are normally brown. Also it looks too big for a cunner. Most of them are smaller, at least the ones I have seen.

maybe gorged on krill.
Flamingos are pale white. But their diet makes them that burnt orange/pink color.

We always called em' choggies, and if that is one...I've definitely seen them that big...not so red, but not far from it. Actually, the larger ones I've seen were actually lighter than normal...but every other attribute tells me choggie. Not for nothing but, they are truly a delicacy, gutted, scaled and pan fried? yum, yum, yum....undressing does suck though

I caught one off Thatcher's once that was an easy pound and a half. It wasn't that red, though.
