Those minus tides can give away many secret hiding spots for bass. This is not only true of rocky coastline spots, but also for beaches. The mega lows of last week revealed some dips and bars on a certain local beach that were newly created and previously unseen. By fishing the outflow of a bowl between these bars we were able to target opportunistic bass who were waiting for our plugs to sweep on by. Even though the September tides are not quite as extreme, we now know where this sand-structure is and will have this added advantage as soon to be migrating fish push bait in there.

low tide is best tide for these types recon missions... but sometimes it offers the best oppertunity to fish a structure that might be too deep on a normal tide... I've got a sand bar that 1/4 mile off of the main beach that under these extreme conditions has only inches of water on it during a minus tide... it rarely produces on an average tide.. but during the extreme.. it's money..

good post Ross... I'm going to dig around and see if I have some pictures of structure to keep the idea going...

A good run is better than a bad stand!
