This is a stupid and unprecedented case of extortion. The government may never work again if this is how the parties deal with these issues going forward. As of Wednesday there were 5 republican congressmen in Philadelphia area districts alone calling for a vote on a clean bill. They can't even get their own party to allow a vote. The only reason the government is shutdown is because Boehner lost his sack and as a result the National seashores get closed. This is the main forum, right
