I know guys have used steel head rods to toss lighter stuff in the surf. May want to build a blank with salt water stuff on it but not sure it would make much of a difference. 1/2 - 2 is pretty light Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
An 11 ft rod for throwing slug-gos? I can't imagine going above a 9 ft MH to get the desired action most would want. I fished slug-gos religiously for a while and then tried with my 10 ft'er and couldn't stay in touch with the lure...
