the best workboots/hiking boots?

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SIZE FOURTEEN 14

in wool socks or heavy WIDE thermal socks
I swear socks are made for ppl with NARROW feet

I bought some larger wader socks and they're still too small

I have size 13 extra wide feet and during the wintertime
I get cold foot .....bad - even as a kid (ache like a MF ker)
hard to sleep ....so .... finding these would be nice....for xmas

used to be, there was a big man's shop in shrewsbury ma.
on route 9 but sadly they have ....closed

Wore Timberlands for years....then I got persuaded to try Chippewa's. Wow....what a difference. Won't go back to Timby's.
Comfy, 400 gram thinsulate, waterproof, vibram soles....about the same $$ as Timby's.
