Lol. A lot of companies have fire at will clauses in their contract and can fire you with no reason at all and you can't do a thing about it. But in this case they fired him for a specific reason which is BS. Fact!If we were all gay there would be nobody left on the planet. Fact penises and vaginas go together so we can reproduce. Fact god is not real therefore gays won't go to hell. Fact 2 penises don't make a baby. Fact 2 vaginas don't make a baby. Fact butt holes do not make baby's. Fact when someone's feelings get hurt it's ok, just a part of life. Fact if I don't like something I simply just don't take part. Fact I don't give 2 chitz what people think of my opinions.

If you follow the word, the two sides are incompatible. It might not be PC for a network or its advertisers, but it is the teaching a majority of the nation initially learned. You choose.... and that includes choosing whether to speak up or not....
It was all good for the Roman Empire, and they're.....oh yeah... that ended.

I must be living in a cacoon because I have no idea who this guy is or know the 1st thing about Duck dynasty.
Matter of fact I couldn't name 1 current tv show on the 3 major networks now.
I'll stick to watching MeTv Boston, TV land and the Discovery channel.

I guarantee there's a clause in his contract that allows the network to kick his ass to the curb any time they feel necessary. |

Doesn't matter if there is or not. They fired him for a specific reason. A bs reason. There probably is a clause and they probably could have let him go with no reason or no questions asked. But they didn't. They made a big deal instead to make the gays feel happier and more appreciated. At the end of the day they failed.

They didn't want to deal with the gay rights groups and the massive negative PR. Yes to make the leaders of the gay's smile. Not Brilliant? A sackless move! A sackless move in this case to make gay activists smile! He was fired because he offended gay people using his freedom of speech. This crap is out of hand. I wouldn't be surprised if he sues the network and wins for wrongful termination. He could easily do that unless his contract says he can't talk about his religion which I highly doubt it does as that would be against amendment rights. |

You don't get how PR works do you?
Good or bad is all considered good.
There's nothing 'sackless' about it. They can do what they want, and you can spin on it.
And he was at will, so, I'm sure he has plenty of free time to make you a nice duck call to spin on.

He didn't just offend gay people, his remarks were universally offensive.
I know a guy who's in the middle of a massive lawsuit against a major corporation over the harassment he suffered at work because he's gay. The company ignored it, covered it up and made his life hell. It's crap like the Robertson remarks that make people believe they can get away with it.
It's freaking amazing that a bunch of multimillionaires pretending to act normal on a fake, scripted TV show are somehow being held up as representing the "real America."
Looks like they're going to walk...
