date for plugfest 2014
OK, what other events will conflict with a March date for plugfest?
let's try to get this set
I am not sure when the Elks Hall is available in March but we should plan this sooner than later
anyone know when the MSBA show is, or RI show

i hope it is before last weekend of March
my double bone spur surgery is scheduled
for the 28th now ... i'm hoping anyway....
not confirmed ....

OK, I called and they have Feb 18th and March 1st available
I asked Joanie to pencil us in for the 18th.
I can talk to John about getting that firmed up
any other conflicting show dates?

Bruce you mean the 15th? Nevertheless the Hartford hunting and fishing show is Feb 14-16 .CSA has a booth perennially.. Personally I don't see any problems. I'll change my time to man the booth.

Most people do not start making plugs till after the holidays, to have plugfest earlier just means less time to complete them.
I look forward to this every year!

it seems March 1st is what most want, but someone told me that the sol food fling thing is on the same day. It fell that way last year and we missed quite a few people that usually come. I think it's also the same weekend as one of those flea markets they have down there in NJ.
so should we consider another date?

Surf Day is 2/22 and Asbury is 3/9, nothing big going on down here on the 1st. Not sure of the Food Fling date. |

The problem with this is trying not to step on any other toes... SOL has a STANDING date, ie. the first Saturday in March, for that fling. Between Plugfest and TFCTFN, picking a date becomes an ordeal. Both should be set as soon as the current year event is over. That means a year in advance.... Pick a date and go with it. For BOTH events.
One thing I would like to see taken from the fling and considered/adapted for TFCTFN is the 1pm-6pm timeframe....

This event has zero to do with SOL....so there should be no issue and you can please some of the people some of the time....but you can't please all of the people all of the time! People can either make it or they can't! The hard reality is there is no date that is good for everyone!
