as long as you have your cutter tip and the drive and step center tips are lined up you should do ok. one caution though-the cutter set screw has a tendancy to vibrate loose so check it frequently.also don't force your cutting by taking too much of a bite ie 1/2 inch cuts an so on. especially with harder woods.lol and don't get carried away with using plyers to tighten the finger screws.
