Did you ever think of knocking on the adjacent property owner's door to introduce yourself, and ask permission to fish there yourself?
That failing; tell me there is no public right of way anywhere near where you fish? And what are the shoreline restrictions in Ct.? At least in Mass. If you can access the shoreline legally you can fish it.
