Excise Tax Question

Not to stray too far from this topic, but I saw a portion of a new story that had me concerned.
It seems like the government is thinking of taxing your 401K if you save too much money. I hope I have gotten this wrong, as I hate to think I'm saving for THEIR future and not my own!!!!

Won't be long now before they come to your house to collect your first born children!

Oh, and they can stop calling it an "Excise" tax, as it is nothing more than a state tax, plain and simple.
They don't use it for what it is intended, so give me a break and stop calling it something it isn't!!!!!
