DZ's Beer tour of Colorado thread

Ian and others, please add some info here for DZ.

New Belgium, Oscar Blues and Odell are must visits.. I would schedule one brewery a day, and would do them in that order. For New Belgium, you actually have to call and make reservations for a tour because its very popular.. the brewery is like a holy shrine and the focus is on the story of how the owners visited belgium and fell in love with belgian beer.. Personally, i am not the biggest fan of their beers...

Oscar Blues brewery is new and is less informative, more industrial, and the beers are in my opinion, world class. Deviant Dales DIPA especially. If you want the full Oscar Blues experience, drive up to Lyons after the tour for dinner at the original Oscar Blues brew pub where it all started.

Odells brewery is next on my brewery tour hit list. They make some incredible beers as well, and the mercenary DIPA is possibly better than deviant dales...

Longmont Colorado, in my opinion is the epicenter of the best beers being made in large scale operations in the country.

For beer in Denver, I highly recommend a visit to The Bull and Bush and you have got to try a hop infused Pint.. They serve it to you in a french press full of fresh locally grown hops. I started growing hops after experiencing this. Its amazing.

I'll be in downtown Denver - tagging along with the wife as she's attending the Nurse - Midwife Convention. Any brew pubs to hit? Any nearby hikes? Will also take a day trip to see my sister in Colorado Springs.
