recommendation Number 2 (eradication)

some of you may LAUGH

But when i go out to declare WAR on Poison IVY
with my weed whacker no less

First i go to HOME DEPOT and buy a cheap disposable $15 bucks
BLUE Painters pant suit that poison IVY oil cannot penetrate

i wear that with gloves and a grinders full shield face mask
my version of a HAZMAT SUIT

so when i am chopping (brush cutter blade) cutting down newly emerging
RED
poison ivy leaves in SPRING none of the OIL can get to my skin
for that hour or two of bush whackin

then, i go with covering the stubble with either black plastic sheeting
anchored with SOD chunks ,bricks ect, OR i use heavy gauge 4-6 mil trash bags full of debris whatever to
cover/smother that spot until it die's
