"Obama can double the income tax and spend every cent fighting poverty. That won't do anything until the black culture figures out that no amount of money can overcome a cultural failure that creates an out-of-wedlock birth rate of 75%."
If you were to present this statement to any notion , but remove any connection to race, you would get equal condemnation across the board. Here in the USA, it's seen now as the "status quo".
"He was also right about the moguls in the entertainment industry, who get filthy rich by encouraging the gangster rap culture, and are not held accountable when impressionable and unsupervised kids ruin their lives by emulating what they see and hear. Instead of condemning these people for profiting from genocide, Obama sucks up to Harvey Weinstein and Jay-Z."
You expected anything different???
When you have so many quasi-celebrities trying their hand at politics (like they had any political savvy to begin with) they do so ONLY because they think they are going to get things to change for their benefit and not the general populace. That's why few last long in the political arena....because they can't make money.
Only a handful of ex-celebrities stick with it, and it's not about the money.
I was thinking last night on the way home from work.
What if it mandated that if you ran for office, ANY office, and won then you would be given 2 choices:
1) Serve your term and leave when done with a decent severage package (no golden umbrella deals).
2) Serve your term, and run for re-election for as long as you win, but when you finally lose you forfeit your life and all possessions!
It would put an end to "career" politicians, and make the term "politician for life" be a truthful statement!
