Bass is mediocre at best. Many more tasty fishes in the sea. Buying unbled bass with the red meat still on it would be a real disappointment for that kind of money. Better to go out to a nice restaurant and get waited on. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
As I return a "keeper", I smile at the irony of releasing a fish worth so much on the market; however, the pleasure of catching one is greater than eating one.

Agree - must bleed them ASAP. Even better when you're on a rock and let them swim around on a stringer - really pumps the blood out.
