Good for you both!!!

Being a father myself, you were probably more stoked about it than he was...I had hoped to return with my son, but way too much potty-mouth going on for us.

Not to take away from your post, but it's a shame that some people just don't get it...they could care less about any possible audience. I understand it's fishing, it's time away from the wife/family etc...but I'm an old-school-missy, I try my best to not cuss around women and children, yes...even when fishing, especially at a place like that. Times have changed apparently ~

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

I've been working in a garage for 27 years..my "potty mouth" was restrained at home , but when fishing he has been privvy to things most grown men would be offended by..at least he's quite skilled in the art of ball busting by now.

And yes , as soon as I grabbed the fish I knew it was his biggest. I'm most proud of him coming right down in the water while I revived the fish. Honestly his smile was bigger watching the tail splash as it swam away and he said "Nothing better than that".

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

Great job to both of you!

I took my son down with one of his buddies(all of 60# soaking wet) the other day. I had asked Anthony what I should do if I hooked up and he immediately said "Give it to Zach". As luck would have it, got him into one that ended up weighing 24#.

One of the funniest things ever is hearing this kid, the nicest, most polite kid ever, in the middle of the fight say "OHHHH.........my balllss!"

Kid is hooked and coming to MV with us and Uncle Tony!

Big thank you to anyone out there that has been stepping aside and letting the next generation get in on the action.

good stuff tyler!
