The old apple picking trip. A few years ago my wife told me we were going on a "light and variable" day and I proceeded to inform her about the ready available ness of apples at a very modest price from our local supermarket. She calmly listened to my profanity laced tirade about apple picking and walked over to a newspaper and pulled out and ad and put it in front of me and pointed to it- Fresh cod fillets for 6.99 a pound. I smiled at her and asked what time are we going apple picking

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Also spotted Bonito on my way in. They were skipping along the top of the water exposing their lustrous greens....what a sight!!

Got our bag limit, skinned and filleted already.......now off to mashing some grapes!!!!!!!!

After some groveling, we made out. Probably should have gone further south. Found a pile 12-14" tog off Marion. Ran further south to Nye's off Mattapoisett and couldn't even get a bite. Saw a bunch of either albies or bones had many shots at them but couldn't get them to hit anything.

Nice day out there.

Had the radio on 68, but on low power and we had bent rods all morning, so I'm not sure we would have heard you. Took the girlfriend out Sunday for a quick trip to get 6 for the table, she had 3 fish before I put a crab in the water; although it's hard to fish when I have to bait and unhook fish. Dropped a pig, broke my 30# powerpro and I was bummed I didn't follow my gut on noticing the braid a bit discolored from rubbing on ride home Saturday; should have re-tied. Fish was heavy, doubled me over several times and never got more than a glimpse of a very large tog.
