Had to travel a bit to find them, but I'm sure glad the funny fish are still around in good numbers and in close thanks to the those south winds. So awesome just watching those green bastards ravage bait en masse. Did not see the bones today, tho.

There were some real nice bass mixed in where I was. It's odd to me that I didn't care all that much to bother with them???

Now, how do I get back there tomorrow without incurring the wrath and punishment of others!?!

Went to MV with my friend Bill(ctsurfrat)....The fishing for us was
slow and we really didn't see much bait or activity. The most feeding
we witnessed was 4 drives a dozen albies made around a jetty.
Lucky for me I landed one. My first.

the meat stick with the 30# leader....it was the lightest leader I had.

It was a pretty cool chain of events. We stopped into #^&#^&#^&#^&'s Bait &
Tackle in Oak Bluffs, and Doug tells us to go to X for albies.

Hahaha...well this is the first time I have ever had someone from a
tackle shop give such solid info. It was so solid, that even Doug
himself shows up at the spot to fish the next morning. Then after I
hook up, he drops his rod and helps me land the sucker. Note, he has
only landed one albie himself this year and he drops his gear while the
fish are blasting through...to help me. Awesome!

I have only attempted to target these fish a few hours over the last
couple years. I totally lucked out and Mr. Magoo-ed the sucker onto
the end of my line. My only regret was to have caught him on such
heavy setup. I had my steelhead rod out on the trip, but never
unpacked it.

we were out today again, but boy i took a beating. biiig waves/surf had the fish/bait spread out much more. All albies, but picked up a bone trolling from bird pod to bird pod. huge seas, subsided slightly after the tide turned, but still big. I am sore.

I noticed once the wind picked up yesterday we just weren't getting the bites even though they were still feeding savagely - weird. yesterdays fish were huge in general. much bigger than the bite in Falmouth a few weeks ago

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much

Wind today made things very difficult. Weeds made it impossible from shore. Fish were around too. Should have stayed home. I did see a couple of you getting rocked in your crafts. Thought you would have headed in once you cleared the inlet. Hope it was worth it. And yes, the fish that were around yesterday were big! Saw only one caught today. 6 pounds maybe. Done til the weekend. Withdrawals due in 13 hours.

it was worth it. But I am very sore today. 8lb albies make the drag scream and for wonderful memories in the cold winter.... were you on the east wall, Bates?

Yeah I hear that. No wasn't on the walls that day. I've been fishing fishing more towards the west lately. Although all the bones I was catching were all from that area. I can only hope for one more bone before it's over. Might be the best tasting fish I've ever caught.

I hear that. Had a buddy over the other night after a killer Bonito day and i sliced up some sashimi with soy and wasabi, and he couldnt believe how good it was. I froze some for the grill. Not sure how it freezes.

Hope this guy isn't any of you, because he sure is one big #^&#^&#^&#^&head. Myself and about 6 other shore guys feel this way, and most likely a few other guys in boats as well.

Why do you tell people this, you can't hear anyone when they call you?

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Guys in boats who have never surfcasted sometimes just don't get it.
