How to Fix a broken hinge on a lead mold
Hey Folks,
I have 2 lead molds that have broken hinges on them ( See Picks) is there any easy way to replace or repair these?

Find a small metal door hinge that will fit. Grind off old hinges. Drill pilot holes, then use a tap to thread the holes to accept screws.

that is what i was thinking, i was not sure if there was any method to alignment with the old hinge. |

Maine text will burn with the heat.
Use 4 C clamps to squeeze the mold in position before you drill your pilot holes

i have some nice old pin hinges from the remod job of the kitchen maybe i will try that
more to come |
