Appreciate what you have....

Neighbor of mine collapsed from a heart attack a block from my house last Wednesday morning while out for a morning run. Just turned 40 this past year. Was revived and taken to hospital. Has since been transferred to Boston and is in an induced coma and developed pneumonia. Recently started new job and was two weeks shy of long term disability coverage. Wife and two young children. Just nice, nice people. Her text to me last night indicated that he suffered considerable brain damage before being found. A real horror show and prospects are not good.

So consider your lot in this life. Look at the good side of things, starting today. Put your family and friends first. Appreciate all that life gives you.

If you are so inclined, there is a gofundme account here;

http://www.gofundme.com/i47fnc

Otherwise, do something good for others you know who need your help.

Thank you

Possessions are just "STUFF" that you choose to carry around like a ball and chain your entire life. Personal regrets are like a bad haircut that you refuse to change, for fear of making things worse.

Me, I like to think of my issues as completely transitory, like "water under the bridge, being washed away with the tide"!
I have my moments of rants and raves, but they pass quickly and I move on to more constructive pasttimes.

Too many people put things off, don't take care of a situation until it becomes a travesty, tragedy or fiasco and then become overwhelmed because they procrastinated too long.

I have brothers that are following in my father's footsteps, and aren't taking care of their general health.
I have been having regular annual checkups for decades and I do my best to keep active and eat as heathily as possible.

Overall, I would say the more important thing to remember is that we are not alone in this world. You have friends and family, and as long as you ARE a friend, you will HAVE a friend.

All I can hope for is that when I die, that I am remembered for more positive things than any negative ones, and that I will be missed.

Hope you all have a great hiloday, and enjoy your friends and family!

I am a legend in my own mind!

40 is way to young .....for a life to END

i don't like Jogging except in the woods
on soft ground.... no such thing in nature
as a continuous rock for endless miles.

as an Astronaut once said;
"Your Heart has a "finite" number of beats
so don't waste them."

trying to get on disability is almost impossible
without high priced attorney's to do the JOB.
there's your STRESS.... right there!

100% on that Ross,I believe to live each day to the best you can no matter how bad or tuff things are on your own end,I try to always point out the good things no matter how bleak thing's actually are. The glass is always half full in my eyes, especially if there's some Jack Daniels on the table.

When I got home today from work my 15 y/o daughter tells me her girlfriend co cheerleader partner called her today and told her when she and her older sister came home from school yesterday they opened the garage door (their normal entry) found there farther hanging from one of the beams....

46 y/o......
Gone.A final solution for a temporary problem, I just can't wrap my head around needless self destruction.

Live each day and pay it forward when you can.

OMG very sad
all of it
appreciate what you have for sure

Bob, that is awful. I can't imagine

I guess you just don't ever know

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Agreement....

A lot of good words here to live by, and courage to have regular medical checkups and FOLLOW THE DR ADVICE--sometimes that in itself takes a bit of courage. But only a little!! But, we do it for those we love, not for us!
So many sad and difficult situations shared here. Things to keep in mind.

So sorry to hear all of this.

I'm going to a memorial service next Saturday for my cousin who was 60 and passed last week in LA from a brain aneurism.

Terrible news all of it.

No boat, back in the suds.

This is sad news. One just doesn't know what the next minute will bring. God be with him and his family. I will keep them all in my prayers

Be encouraging, not discouraging
