Moving out of my house for the next two months and into extended stay.
We'll see how that goes with Mom and Jack. Gonna be tight quarters. Thinking there's about 60,000+ in repairs that are going to happen from water damage.
If i'm not around, pray for my soul and sanity. See you guys in May!

It's all covered by my homeowners insurance. I've actually got everybody lined up to come in and take care of everything.
Two weeks of it is just the drying out and the mold remediation. After that I've got buddies who will be on it like a pack of crazed dogs.
Bad news is the whole back of my kitchen (cabinets, wallboard, insulation, windows), downstairs floor, upstairs carpets, upstairs ceilings and lots of upstairs wallboard and insulation are all coming out.
The guys I have lined up did the original work on the house 12 months ago, so they all play really nice and do great work.
I'll give you a shout when they start ripping out the walls and insulation.

Yeah yeah yeah, so they play nice together.... so what. That means chit to wimen when they reach their breaking point. Make sure you have the junkyard dog as the general. Worth the money to have someone who knows coordinating, scheduling, going back to the insurance adjuster, and kicking ass when needed to get you back in Asap WITH EVERYTHING DONE RIGHT. If you act as general, you will lose two to three weeks. What happened? Roof or broken pipes?

Roof. The guy who handles the back and forth with the adjuster is my buddy Brad from ice fishing. He kicks ass. No bs. No waiting around.
The insurance company actually got mad and dropped my adjuster (the VP of my insurance agency stepped in and is negotiating directly with the provider on my behalf).
He's personally checking the progress daily. I got lucky with this part.
