First of all catching a striped bass isn't like fighting a tarpon or a snook . Secondly , people don't like eating Tarpon . Snook idk .
And third , people just need an excuse to go to Florida when it's cold up here .

Obviously you have never fished for snook. Or redfish for that matter. Both are tremendously similar to striped bass on many levels.

Tarpon make bass look like goldfish.
And if you're dragging a fish back 300 ft on wire, well that just sucks no matter what it is. Might as well be a 5 gallon bucket.
