Stay away from chain beads they break. The snaps suck. All snaps suck. Tie a knot. If your pouring your own, through wire the sinker with a heavy barrel swiv at each end. 8-10ft mono/flouro to your spoon or whatever your dragging.

interesting you mentioned that, I am no expert but just just the looks of the chain didn't set well with me. Too many "links" to go wrong. Nice tip on using the heavy barrel swivels vs the snap swivels.. again....much stronger.... don't want to loose that expensive bunker spoon and have it turn into a pretty "bottom ornament"

Yes, pouring my own, so where can I pick up some of this "through wire" ? Thanks for the tip
