Windex is not a good idea. If a boat detailed breaks a bottle of that out on a yacht dock they will be fired. When you clean eisenglass you usually want to use a mild dish soap and really clean filtered fresh water. Many high end boat guys like you to use the water produced from the water maker as it has no minerals in it as apposed from the dockside supply. For low end fishing boats it does not matter.

If they are 20 years old they are probably pretty tired. Try flitz, and the ball as they suggested above it is aggressive but it will polish it up pretty good. I used it on lexan and it worked well but eventually just replaced the glass with new. UV and ozone gets to it over time.
