Noticed the same here in CT and on the way home back from RI yesterday. Why do people just stay in the left lane when there is no one in the right lane for miles ahead or behind?

Highways were very busy today. As I was returning from Narragansett this afternoon merging from Rt. 4 to Rt. 95, traffic was at a standstill. Apparently, the girl driving the car directly in front of me didn't realize that as she rearended the car in front of her.

How do you think I feel as I drive a billboard around five days a week.... I have no choice but to drive responsible and forget that I'm not the only A hole that has to be some where.
And yes,as someone else commented CT driver's can just suck it!
Sorry Krispy

Coming home from my boat last night asbout 9:30 pm going south on rt 1 from Walpole mall towards Foxboro had this Audi with R.I. plates on it swerving all over the road in front of me. Either the the guy was texting or drunk.
3 different times I got up next him to try to get him to put the phone down or get off the road if he was drunk And all 3 times he came close to side swiping me.
Got up next to him at a red light at the intersection of rt 27, looked over and he was clearly #^&#^&#^&#^& face.
got out of my truck and tried to open his door to get him out of his car before he killed someone.
Before I could grab his door light turned green and he floored it.
Got back in my truck and followed again. Caught up to him at the intersection of rt1 and 95.
Watched him make a sudden acceleration and turn left then smash into a guard rail at the on ramp to get back onto rt1 north.
Pulled off the rt side of rt1 to call state police but couldn't get through. Got in my truck and circled around the overpass again but he was gone.
He either got on rt1 north or 95 north and crashed there.
Drove to Foxboro state police barracks to report it, apparently a few other calls came in before I got there and was told Sharon police were looking for the car.
Hopefully no one was killed !

You really think that would stop him/her from continuing to drive home???
You can't do anything except call to report a drunk driver or call to report an car crash...that's all!
Had you "succeeded" in removing him from the vehicle, drunk or high, you would eventually be facing assault charges even though you were doing the right thing!
That's how our glorious legal system rewards those that try to stop worthless POS when they booze up and decide to hit the road (and anything on it).

And meanwhile on the Cape we have a multitude of spandex clad Tour de Stupid participants riding two or three abreast down winding back roads, glaring at cars who dare to NOT pass them (which is the law, by the way) and risk a head-on with a car coming around the corner in the opposite direction.

Not just on the Cape... Every time I leave or return to the house. The helmetless summer folk putting along on the upright bikes are far more courteous.

I just had some ahole on a rice rocket pass between me and another car on Rt3 going about 150 mph. He almost clipped my mirror as he went between us riding the white doted line. He actually made the truck shake from his push of wind as he went by. Scared the chit out of me. Never saw him coming.

Car sitting in middle of busy intersection with right directional on, makes left turn and almost caused a head on collision. Thats when I realized its was officially summer.
Be careful out there.
