I was there recently and it is a great place for couples. If you have to wear shorts, just make sure you have those long Bermuda socks. There are a lot of places in the center of town for any type of faire with the majority being casual attire. Mad Hatter was very good, out of the way a little bit, and next door to The Mariners club of the Bermuda Sailors home. Stop in for a beer and great conversation with locals. Your dining options will be dictated by your hotel location. I recommend their public transportation for a colorful tour of the island.

Should I hike the shorts all the way up to my armpits, and tuck in the shirt?

What I love about key west, I can go for a week, and not pack a single article of clothing that has a button or a zipper (that's my goal in retirement, no buttons, no zippers). T-shirts, gym shorts, i can can eat anywhere I care to go. I can pack a week's worth of clothes in a shoe box.

Thanks, guys...
