Ron,
Crowded so I can see how I missed you last week. Fished canal every day last week to Thursday. Retired andliving 3 miles from Bell Road helps though that is not where I always chase fish. Also wished I lived closer to you as I would have joined you as I am "Hardcore From Shore" as the name implies. Fact is I rarely have missed a day since back from FL and TX in April except when I am travelling. Regardless of fishing availability and conditions still magic daily between 3 and 7 AM. Birds chirping at 430 and Ospreys hunting soon after always have me hopeful whether I see one fisherman or a hundred.
This past week had better days Tues. Wed and Thurs, topped by 3 20# plus bass. Those three on surface in a crowd. FUN. Biggest I saw was 39 pounds on a scale in a lot.
Next time you come south let me know. Also I am trying to get to MV with my wife several days either side of 10/3 (striped bass Saturday) and would like to fish with you then as well if you will be at the Derby.
After the nice 3 bass Thursday AM I had double hernia surgery, so DR. said no 20 pounders or better for a month. (Even wrote it in his post op orders). So by Mid/ late August I look forward to hitting it again daily.
Bill
