I was staying on the south side of block island last weekend and it was as far away from light pollution as you could get without driving out to western mass.. The result was amazing star gazing as it was a new moon. Saw many many shooting stars. Who needs a TV ?

My favorite place to look at the stars especially during a new moon. The starwalk app is great for identifying the stars. Unfortunately the wind farm is lit up like a Christmas tree and it takes away from the star gazing on the southside beaches.
