You might want to think about a left hand version (even if you are right handed). With a 6501 or 7001 used right handed, you don't have to switch the rod from one hand to the other during the cast and retrieve. You are still using the left hand as the cranking hand, just as you do on your spinning reel.
I just got a 7001 Big Game fast retrieve and I love it.

yes 2 of them are 100% some boat rash 3rd one needs a little work I hear there easy to work on, M&D's has all parts good winter project .

ps: went out today with S.Freak got skunked and wet
I needed a boat FIX nice swell's constant 2 to 4 sea's and some 6' swells the boat took it well....
