Advise on Replacable Cutter Chisels

The longer handle is the key as it helps ballance the pressure. The Sorby one works better due to quality. You can find more info in some of the wood working mags out there. Fine Woodworking and Wood turners will help. you may even have a local wood turning group that are great to ask as they love to show their stuff to other turners.

I've used them with good results. If you are looking at these I would also suggest checking out the Hunter carbide cutters. I've used those and easy wood tools. The Hunter carbide cutter has a beveled cutting edge and gives a nice smooth cut. The EWT and others are super sharp but are flat and you are still scraping to some degree. I've found the Hunter beveled cutters do a great job of shaving the work piece. There are tons of videos of both on Youtube.
