SB Auction # 20- Rod blank
"Old school" fiberglass rod blank-
NOS light action blank of unknown manufacture, old but kept in a dry basement hanging from the joists with my rods
As is- 9'-1" one piece, .775 butt, 7-7.5 tip, 4.5 oz
This is an un-cropped, un- finished blank; you have to cut and finish the blank to your needs. This blank will make a light action rod that will pitch 1/4 to 3/4 oz Redfins, Bombers, Mambos, Zara Spooks etc a good distance and will be a great light tackle schoolie rod (what I bought them for originally) or a freshwater worm rod. Or cut it short and make a scup/ fluke rod etc. Best line 8-12 lb test. Auction is for one (1) blank, I have three
Pic of blank static flexed with 3 oz sinker to give you an idea of the action-
I will meet the winner of the auction in RI (SoCo) to deliver the blank(s). Mail payment to John R- (US Post Office Money orders are like cash ) (P.S.- other payment methods are good too!)
Start the Auction at $10, end on Sunday the 27th (Easter) at 8 pm

Sounds like you are describing a Lami mooching blank BMB1083-M, an ideal rod for the lures described. I own several and am building another right now.

These aren't Lami's, of that I'm sure. But they may have been private label made by one of the old companies that used to be around .
And, as I said, these are a very light action blank.
And what the hell is mooching anyway?
