				shifter cover ?
			 
 I have a 2006 115 Yamaha 4 stroke on a c.c. just wondering how to remove the shifter cover , think its time to take a peek in there look  for corrosion , lub it up , thanks |

				 | Ya, good luck with that!Put new cables in this winter and needed to pull the remote to attach new cables,,, every screw was seized in the mounting brackets and such,,, for what the parts cost made more sense to me to replace it with the newer model,,, 704 Remote,,'
 
 To get that cover off you need to squeeze it from top to bottom, there are a couple of little plastic pins u can't see that needs the cover to expand on the sides for them to disingage
 
 If u plan on messing with new parts I saved the old unit and may have parts u need,,,,
