U may want to do a half day charter....it gets very hot mid day...was there 2 years ago mid May caught 6 tarpon over 100 lbs. in the morning on spinning gear with live bait....I chartered for the day, for me it was a mistake...95 degrees by 11am fish went down,told captain that trip was over i will pay him for the day plus tip....it was great fishing for me....my prefference would only fish the ocean not the mangroves for big fish.....there is a very nice boat ramp by the Sanibel bridge........enjoy your trip.....
