I do change the water pump, impeller, thermostat and NGK Iridium plugs every year. I also run Fuel Ox whenever I add gas. I run fresh water thru the engine after every trip. Change oil, fuel filter, oil filter and lower unit grease every 100 hrs. Also change all the zincs, internal and external, every year.
My dealers says that if I keep up this maint schedule, I should get 2500 hours before a rebuild.
