Foul hooked this 20 inch tautog while jigging for bass in the canal at 6AM on Tuesday. Had Tautog Chowder for dinner at 8PM. Edibility, Excellent! Earlier this year I foul hooked 4 18 inch Scup while deep jigging. They made 4 excellent dinners.

I prefer rendered bits of salt pork myself sprinkled ontop. It really makes the chowdah

Had some of my wife's family in town a couple weeks back for my father in law's 90th bday party. Took one of her sister's boyfriend out who is from Virginia but only fishes freshwater. Picked the day in advance & boy did we luck out weather/seas wise. Had big bluefish devouring anything we threw at them on ultralight gear then live-lined some sea herring for a few bass.
