Ok, so the Yanks are down 3-2
Ok,
Yanks are down but back in the stadium. I, of course, believe the series is far from over. If it ends tommorrow night then hats off to the Marlins. They are an excellent ball team, very skilled like a couple of other ones we have frequently discussed.
Now if the Sox were wearing the same shoes as the Yanks right now we would be hearing an awful lot of "Cowboy Up" and, believe it or not, I would be rooting for them wholeheartedly.
But I have some doubts that a few of you out there aren't rooting for the pinstripes right now.
Pipe in and tell us why.
This is a sports thread and Yankee bashing is 100% tolerated, remember ?

Boy, if the Yanks lose the world series the Grady Little thing is not going to even be a blip on the map. The good old Billy Martin days will be back down in NY and it will be a circus. Heck instead of rooting for the Yanks Im rooting for Grady to keep his job, that would be more newsworthy than the Yanks winning the world series. In two years of being the redsox captain he brought you to with-in minutes of the world series. If thats not good enough in two years every Boston skipper is destined to fail!

If the Yanks lose maybe Georgie will flip out and fire Joe Torre. That would be awesome the Sox getting Torre.

Well I suppose just because the Red Sox lost doesn't mean root for the Yankees because they're both in the American league, that's practically like voting for the political party and not the individual candidates. I'm a Boston fan, but that doesn't necessarily make me a Yankee hater (though Giambi and Boone rub me the wrong way), any ill feelings I have are with Yankee ownership, money and manipulation. For me, in this series, it's like playing chess against myself. I just want to see good hard fought games and I am. I'm on the fence, but if the Marlins win, let's just say I wouldn't be upset.

I would cut my little finger off before I would root for the Yanks, or any NY team.
